Jack Hooper (1928 - 2014) was an American painter, muralist, sculptor, printmaker and art educator. He was know for abstract expressionist, mural and figurative paintings; and was a prominent figure in the Southern California art scene as part of a generation of painters who matured during the late 1950’s and 1960’s.

Hooper exhibited in art museums and galleries both nationally and internationally including solo shows in Paris, Mexico and the United States. The last 20 years of his life were spent in rural Mexico, where he drew and painted daily.
