Freeman Lederman designed by Lagardo Tackett porcelain apothecary jars made in Japan with marijuana & opium labels.
Freeman Lederman was a manufacturer in California, founded in 1950 by David W. Lederman and William B. Freeman. Early productions included whimsical clay pieces designed by various artists.The firm subsequently found a niche selling porcelain kitchen and household wares made in Japan and designed locally by Lagardo Tackett and, later, his student, Kenji Fujita. The company participated in the Osaka Trade Show in 1954.
